Administration
Bryant Amitrano, Principal
Welcome to Haynes Elementary! As I enter my second year as your principal, I am filled with gratitude and excitement. Our community is truly special, with dedicated teachers who go above and beyond for our students, involved families who support our mission, and students who inspire us every day with their curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
In the coming year, we will continue to build on our strong foundation, focusing on academic excellence, social-emotional growth, and fostering a love of learning. I am committed to working collaboratively with all members of our community to ensure that each student has the opportunity to reach their full potential. Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership. Let’s make this school year our best one yet!
Prior to joining Haynes, Bryant was the Interim Principal at Merriam Elementary School in Acton, MA as well as the Assistant Principal at Merriam for several years before. Prior to working in Acton, Bryant was an Interim Assistant Principal at the Healey School in Somerville, MA, where he was also a fifth and sixth grade teacher. Bryant's passion as an educator is to create equitable experiences for students to engage in hands-on learning opportunities where students use interdisciplinary practices and work collaboratively in order to achieve their learning goals.
Bryant lives locally in Maynard with his wife Libby and four children, Gigi, Weston, Pratt, and Welles. Bryant enjoys being active with his children and continues to play golf and lacrosse himself. Bryant received his CAGS in School Administration from American International College, a Masters in Elementary Education from Regis College, and his Bachelor's from Bryant University. While at Bryant University, Mr. Amitrano was the captain of the Division I Men's Lacrosse Team.
